Mother Annie Hatch was born on January 4, 1918 in Uniontown, Alabama.  She was the oldest of six children to the parents of Tensie Turner and Elisa Ditley.  She passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016.

In 1941, she married Richard Hatch.  They relocated to Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1942.  Later in 1943, she united with Pilgrim Baptist Church where she attended faithfully until her health began to decline.

Annie was a homemaker and retired domestic worker.  She was a great cook (made the best peach cobbler ever) and loved to have family gatherings.  She enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching westerns, listening to Gospel music and spending time with her grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters, Velma Surry, Lois (Billie) Tarver, Louise Robinson and Sabrina Brown; two sons, Arlie (Vivian) Hatch and Earnest (Sadie) Hatch; 37 grandchildren, 103 great grandchildren, 98 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Hatch; three children, Susie Basset, Elizabeth Jones and Victor Hatch; two brothers, Ulysses and Johnnie; three sisters, Pearlie Brown, Ethel Moore and Bettie Williams.

Mother Hatch will be laid to rest in Concordia Gardens
