Edward Johnson Jr. was born on January 28, 1947, in Brickey’s, Arkansas to Essie and Edward Johnson Sr.

He confessed his faith in Christ at an early age while still in Brickey’s, Arkansas.

Left the cherish his memory are two sons, Edward Johnson III of Chicago, Illinois and Edmund TyJuan Johnson of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two daughters, Pamela  Ann Jones of Phoenix, Arizona and Demelia Johnson of Glendale, Arizona; four brothers, Willie L. Johnson, Clarence (Sharon) both of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Chester (Clementene) Johnson of Mariana, Arkansas and Carl (Pam) of Johnson of Saginaw, Michigan; two sisters, Erma J. Sanders of Holland, Michigan and Arnette Wilson of Fort Wayne, Indiana; a sister-in-law, Althea Wells-Johnson of Sugar Hill, Georgia; aunt, Elle Jones of Marianna, Arkansas; special friends of the family, Carmen Hernandez and David Clark III, 10 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Essie Johnson Sr. and brother, Robert L. “Pete” Johnson.
