Frank Arthur Smith, age 62, a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana died Monday, September 4, 2017 at home.

He was a 1973 graduate of Elmhurst High School.  He attended IVY Tech Culinary and also received a certification in Radio Engineering.

Frank was previously employed by AutoLiv in Columbia City, prepared Prep-Stats for the News-Sentinel Sports department, had also worked as an engineer in radio, on-air personality and a volunteer for public radio.

Surviving are his wife, Janice; stepsons, Joseph and John (Shawna) Gunder; stepdaughter, Jenny (Darcy) Conrad; cousins, Gerry, Connie, Don and Doug Houser, Terry, Elsie and Gene Houser, Jason, Bethany, Stephanie and Jarrod Stults and nine grandchildren.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Walter M. and M. Louise (Houser) Smith and a stepson, James A. Gunder.
