Helen Louise (Doughty) Woolsey-Powell was born on February 27, 1954 in Alabama.  At the age of 63, she passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017.

She was a member of Church of Movement Toward Freedom Outreach Ministries in Jesus Name of Fort Wayne where she was a presiding Mother of the Church.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Foster Doughty Sr. and Catherine Doughty-Jones; siblings, Foster Doughty Jr., Robert Ed Doughty, Willie Doughty and Fannie Doughty; a great grandson, Da'Twan Woods Jr. and a nephew, Foster Marquise Doughty.

Surviving are her husband, John L. Powell; children, Fred (LaTonya) Woolsey, Fredrick Woolsey, Davielle Woolsey (Christopher) and LaVera Powell; siblings, Ellen Cooper, Overseer Larry (Patricia) Doughty, Alice (Fred) Little, Robert (Annie) Doughty, Shirley Hardy, Pastor Sam (Carol) Doughty and Terry (Gwen) Doughty, nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Mother Helen will be laid to rest in Highland Park Cemetery
