Obituary

Maggie B. Futrel was born June 23, 1924 in Marion, Alabama. She departed this life at Hospice Home on June 21, 2016 at the age of 91.

Maggie accepted Christ at an early age.  After moving to Fort Wayne, Indiana she  became a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church where she served as an usher and sang in the choir for many years.

She retired from General Electric after 42 years of dedicated service.

Maggie leaves to cherish, her husband, Ell Futrel, nephew, Raymond F. Odom, stepson, James (Sally Thompson) Moore, stepdaughter, Betty (Greg) Walton, step granddaughter, Chrisma Board-Griffin, grand-niece, Cherri Rae Odom, grand-nephews, Raymond C., Brent C., & Kourtney L. Odom, special cousins, James (Eualeen) Chapman, Ollie Smith, Lucretia Brown, Yolanda Prosser, special friends, Natasha Andrews, Michelle Trevino, and her beloved pet Toby, and a host of special relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Postella (Chapman) Reed, father, Andrew Sherrill, brother, David Lee Sherrill, and sister, Louise Sherrill.

"I have fought a good fight, until we meet again, may God Hold you in the palm of His hand."
