Mary Ann (Murdock) Johnson

Mary Ann Johnson was born December 21, 1949 in Lexington, Mississippi. She passed peacefully on March 11, 2018, surrounded by her family.

She was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana and was a 1968 graduate of Central High School.

Mary retired from ITT Industries Inc. Aerospace after 40 years of service.  Her hobbies included traveling with friends on bus trips and watching sports.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.  She was united in marriage to David L. Johnson for 40 years.  To this union two daughters were born.

Her precious memories will forever remain with those who loved her, she leaves her loving husband, David L. Johnson; four daughters, Sonja, Dwana, Davina and Tiffany; three grandchildren, Sean Ramont, Ryan Jamaal and Treasure Heaven; two brothers, Taft (Yvetta) Murdock, Jr., Alvin (Sheila) Murdock; five sisters, Hazel Lawson, Linda Murdock, Geraldine (Frederick) DeBruce, Elaine Caldwell and Michelle Moore; a sister-in-law, Susan Murdock; and a brother-in-law, Curtis Hurse. Mary was blessed with 5 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Taft Sr. and Geneva Murdock; three brothers, Ralph Murdock, Lonnie Murdock and Melvin Murdock; a sister, Mabeline Hurse and a son-in-law, Michael Logan.

Mary will be laid to rest in Lindenwood Cemetery
