Mary Martin was born April 3, 1939 in Waterproof, Louisiana to Arata and Joe Martin.  At the age of 78, she departed this earthly life when her name was called on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at St. Joseph Medical Center.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized.  After relocating to Fort Wayne, Indiana, she began employment with the Fort Wayne State Developmental Center and retired in 1995 after 27 years of service.

Mary was a longtime member of True Love Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Fred Williamson, Earl Martin, Joe Martin, Lieutenant Martin and Dale Martin and her longtime companion, Roger Warfield.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory a loving and devoted daughter, Toni Valrie; stepdaughter, Pamela (John) McGee; granddaughter, Selmita Valrie; great grandson, Dewayne Ray Robinson Jr. all of Fort Wayne, IN;  sister, Hattie Banks of Columbia, SC; brothers, Willie (Dorothy) Martin of Waterproof, LA, Nathaniel Martin and Jesse Martin both of Natchez, Mississippi; sister-in-law, Beatrice (Amy) Thurmond and brother-in-law, Charles Warfield. She also leaves behind her special daughters, Ella Espinoza, Deborah Worthman, Anita Waller, Bonnie Reeves and Deloris Moore; special sons, Dewayne Robinson Sr. and James Allen; other  grandchildren, Reggie Allen, Emma Allen,  Daphne Williams and Robin McMillan all of Fort Wayne, Sharon Allen of Indianapolis, Indiana and DemonTre Cato of Fort Wayne along with a host of other family members and friends.

Pastor Robert Bell will be the Eulogist.
