Michael Adrian Chapman, was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on March 5, 1970 to the late Mary Ann Bush-Chapman and John Thomas “Tommy” Nelson. He departed this life on Friday, March 23, 2018. Michael attended school and graduated from Wayne High School. He also attended classes at ITT Institute of Technology.
Michael confessed Christ at an early age was raised in the church by his family.
He was a pleasant and fun-loving young man who took great pleasure in sports, good food, music, and playing the drums. As a gifted and talented drummer, his love for the drums was revealed at the age of two years old, as he went to the kitchen cabinets and made a drum set of pots and pans in the middle of the kitchen floor. He was commonly seen hanging around the drum set and in the music pit. Finally, at a church children’s program, Michael played a drum solo and it pulled out of him the ability that God had placed in him.
Michael loved the Lord and was a faithful Deacon and musician at the Abundant Love Ministries. He helped to maintain the church and could frequently be found in the church building working, meditating, and listening to gospel music by Fred Hammond, The Winans, and of course, Commissioned! He served faithfully until his health failed and the Lord called him from labor to reward.
