Welcome to the memorial page for

Minister Servant LeRoy Page

July 27, 1953 ~ August 29, 2017 (age 64) 64 Years Old

Minister Servant LeRoy Page was 64 years of age when he passed away on Tuesday,  August 29, 2017 at home surrounded by his family.  LeRoy was one of seven children born to Eugene and Ola Mae (Walker) Page.

LeRoy Page was a 1971 graduate of R. Nelson Snider High School.  He graduated from Columbia School of Broadcasting in Houston, Texas.  Many of you may remember him as LP in stereo on Cool FM radio back in his DJ days.  He was the author of Word-Up Rap dictionary, founder of Creative Circles and Word-Up Sports Wear.  LeRoy wrote commercials and commercial parodies, which aired on radio stations in Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, and South Bend, Indiana. LeRoy also received his Bachelor of Science Degree, Magnum Cum Laude from Crossroads Bible College.

He wrote, directed and produced ‘King the Dream Revisited,” a play for the entire family.  The play was showcased to sell-out crowds in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis. He also wrote and produced, “A Medical and Biblical Perspective of the Crucifixion,” which aired in 1997.

LeRoy accomplished many things using his creative talents, but the Lord had other uses for his creativity.  In 1997, he was called to the ministry, when he was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church.  LeRoy’s dedication to helping those in need led to him starting the “Annual Dinner of Thanksgiving,” which has continued for the past 18 years.

In 2016, the Lord led LeRoy to the birth of “He Is Risen Worship Assembly.” As founder and Pastor, LeRoy felt that pastoring was one of his greatest accomplishments.  He was employed by the Wayne Township Trustee Office as Director of Employment.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Ola Jean Page, Rosalind Page and Don Alfred Page.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; daughter, Madison Page; sons, Gregory Starks, Jordan Page both of Fort Wayne and JaVaun Gorman of Georgia; siblings, Wandra Green of Kansas City, Missouri, Arthur (Renee) Page of Atlanta, Georgia and Jerry (Cheryl) Page of South Haven, Michigan and numerous other  family members and friends.

He will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Park
