Robert Edward "Pig" Doughty

Robert Edward Doughty was called home on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the age of 59.  Robert was born on December 18, 1958 to Foster Doughty Sr. and Catherine (Cooper) Doughty in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. 

He accepted Christ at an early age.   Robert rededicated his life to Christ and joined Church of Movement Toward Freedom Outreach Ministries in Jesus Name of Fort Wayne.   He worked for Polar King until he became disabled.

Robert loved grilling, gardening, planting his flower beds and spending time with his grandchildren. 

He was known to many as “Pig”, we loved him but God loved him best and he will be dearly missed.

His memories are cherished by his wife, Annie Doughty; his children, Terry Boone, Rickie Jackson, Robert Jackson, Kunta (Tia) Doughty, Antonio (Shuneata) Doughty and Tomeko Doughty; his 13 grandchildren, Najee Allen, Tyler King, Kadijah Martin, Jalisha Doughty, Justice Jackson, Trevon Doughty, Kierra Doughty, Tanisha Doughty, Jekhi Jackson, Davon Doughty, Jawyonne Hill, Jaylan Doughty and Tray Prince; his siblings, Ellen Cooper, Alice (Fred) Little, Shirley (Willie) Hardy, Larry (Patricia) Doughty, Terry (Gwen) Doughty and Sam (Carol) Doughty along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Foster Doughty, Sr. and Catherine Doughty-Jones; his siblings, Foster Jr., Willie, Robert and Fannie Doughty and Helen Powell-Woolsey.
