Samuel Tyler III was born on July 5, 1948 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Samuel II and Marie Tyler.  At the age of 68, he passed away on March 24, 2017 at Parkview Hospital - Randallia.

He was a 1966 graduate of Central High School and retired from BAE Systems.  He proudly retired from United States Air Force and served in the Indiana Army National Guard. 

During his spare time he enjoyed being an all-around handyman. He loved fishing, playing cards and spending time with his family.

Samuel leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Edrena Tyler; children, Tamar, Dante’, Tenille and Chanel Tyler; siblings, Kelvin Tyler, Katherine (Fred) Scott, Irma Tyler, Marilyn (Ronald) Cantrell, Sherill (Ernie) Johnson, Beverly Harding and Valerie Brown; seven grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Samuel will be laid to rest in Covington Memorial Gardens
