Vera G. Jenkins-Lee was born February 12, 1941 to the late Ned and Carrie (McGee) Davis.  She departed this life at the age of 76 on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Parkview Hospital.

She was a member of The Spiritual Israel Church & It’s Army and was previously employed by DANA Corp.

In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, cooking and providing entertainment by way of “Spoon Playing” at various functions throughout the city.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ned and Carrie Davis; brothers, Ned Jr. and Lonnie Davis; sisters, Malinda Rosse, Jeanette Davis and Sarah Washington and two grandchildren.

She leaves behind her husband, Tommie Lee; son, Arthur L. Ramsey; daughters, Laura (Wort) Chapman and Shelia Davis; brothers, Robert and Charlie (Bernice) Davis; sister, Cities Davis; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Mother Vera will be laid to rest in Highland Park Cemetery
