Obituary

Virginia Louise Williams was born June 7, 1933 to the late Thomas and Laura Pegues in Chesterfield County, South Carolina.  She departed this life on August 8, 2016 at Lutheran Life Villages at the age of 83.

She retired from Fort Wayne State Development Hospital after 30 plus years of service.

She was a charter member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church under the late Rev. C. E. Walker.  She continued her devoted membership under the current leadership of Rev. Fred R. Morris.  During her membership she was active in the Missionary Auxiliary, the Usher Board and Gospel Choir.

Mother Williams was also preceded in death by her son, Henry Oliver; siblings, Willie “Buddy” Pegues, Irene Tatum, Estella Hardison and Mable Hardison

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 62 years, Billy Williams; children, Charles D. Oliver Sr., Calvin (Camille) Oliver, Debra (James) Patterson and Virgie Lynn (Ronald) Williams; daughter-in-law, Sheila Oliver; sister, Helen (Frank) Royal; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives, friends and a dear friend and caregiver, Belinda M. Jackson.

Mother will be laid to rest in Concordia Gardens Cemetery
