William Thomas Dixie Jr. was born on April 27, 1939 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  He was the son of the William Thomas Sr. and Betty Dixie.  At the age of 78, he passed Monday, July 31, 2017 at home.
 
William was a lifelong resident of Fort Wayne and retired from Ryder Trucking Company after 20 years of service.  He was an avid lottery player and enjoyed sitting in his backyard and spending time with family and friends.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, William T. Dixie Sr. and Betty Dixie; two brothers, Michael Dixie and Robert Dixie Sr. and three sisters, Sallie Watts, Mary Brangain and Rosena Jefferson.

William leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Cora Dixie; sons, Kevin Dixie and Christopher Banks; daughters, Donna Dixie, Roxanne Armour and Lavonne Dixie; brother, Fredrick (Tonya) Dixie; sisters, Anna Lewis (John) Clark, Judy Mickles and Linda Brangain; a special friend, Jerry Underwood and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He will be laid to rest in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery on Maumee Avenue
