Albert Hardin Obituary

Albert Hardin was born on November 11, 1940, in Clarkedale, Arkansas to Betty and Johnny Hardin, Sr.  Albert was the youngest of four children which also included Johnnie Mae, Johnny Jr., and Robert.

Albert along with his mother and brothers relocated to Chicago, Illinois in 1955. Clybourn Avenue was home for many years. Albert made many friends and was affectionately known as Papa Clean, or Cool Al.

On June 14, 1994, he united in holy matrimony to Ms. Marjorie Knox. To this union came a blended family of four children. Laura Hardin, Deborah Hardin, Agnes Knox and Paulette Knox. Albert was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.

The family moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1992, and they moved back to Chicago, Illinois in 2014, before moving to Fort Wayne, Indiana in January 2017.

Albert departed this life on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and a great granddaughters, Journee Jackson and Patriesha Contreras.

Albert was very passionate about fishing. He loved fishing so much, that he would prefer being on the lake somewhere fishing any day. His passion for fishing was instilled in his children and he taught his grandsons how to be the best man that he has always been.

Albert leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife, Marjorie Hardin; four daughters, Laura Hardin, Deborah Reyes, Agnes Knox-Jack and PauletteKnox; two nephews, he raised as his own, Devette Williams and Keith Williams; 22 grandchildren: Jonathan Hardin, Laura Hardin, LaquandraHardin, Romeo Hardin, De Paris Hardin, Aisha Contreras, Stacy Knox, Kenneth Wright Jr., Elijah Wright, Norbert Jack, Liam Ireland, London Ireland, Darrell Matchem, Errivoni Matchem,  Lazarick Matchem, Eric Matchem, Shafeanta Knox, Juarez Jack, Angelina Jack, Angela Jack, Dennis Mix, and Paris Hardin Spotten. 30 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Charlene Watts; a brother-in-law, Jerry Lee Knox and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
