Alberteen Henderson, “Tina”for short was born to the  late Hosey and Rebecca “Becky” Griggs in Clarksdale, Arkansas on February 22, 1944.  Moving with her parents to Fort Wayne at an early age, she graduated from Central High School.  Later, she married Wayne T. Henderson.  Soon after their divorce, she decided to move to Las Vegas, Nevada where she started her career as a LPN and worked for Sun Rise Hospital.  Upon her return to Fort Wayne, she began employment with Byron Health Center and worked there for many years.  After retiring from Byron Health Center and leaving the nursing field, she began her home daycare and over the years, many children have come and gone through her doors.

If you needed a baby sitter, all you had to do was call her.  When her health began to decline, she retired from home daycare.  After a long struggle with her illness, she was called home to be with the Lord on July 30, 2017 at the age of 73.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracy (Timothy) Kinnie; sons, Ronald (Angel) Griggs and David D. Henderson; a sister, Deborah Patterson; a brother, Sherman Griggs and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband, Wayne T. Henderson, a daughter, Rebecca Denise Henderson, grandson, Robert Griggs and her brother Aubrey Griggs.
