Mrs. Aline McPherson was born to the late Alvin and Corrie (McGough) Carroll in Prescott, Arkansas. She departed this life while living in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Friday, October 19, 2018.
For 28 years Aline worked at Fort Wayne State Developmental Center before retiring in 1995 and was of the Catholic Faith.
She was a very social, loving and caring person whose favorite color was green. Aline enjoyed the outdoors, sitting on her porch and talking to the people that passed her home. Shopping, gardening and listening to music were among her many fond things she loved to do. She also enjoyed making her own clothes, cooking for the holidays and caring for people. Often, she would take people into her home until they were ready to be on their own.
“Mom never met a stranger and will be remembered for her social acts and care she gave to many.”
She leaves to cherish memories to her sons, Timothy (Diane) Harris, Rev. Roderick (Tonda) McPherson, Mark McPherson and granddaughters raised as children, Charmar C. McPherson and Chane N. McPherson; a sister, Helen Abraham; as well as four other endeared grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; her daughter, Bettina and son, Verlin McPherson.
