Mr. Arthur Walker, Jr.

A Loving Father, Grandfather and Friend, 

was 71 years of age when he passed away peacefully from this life on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at his home in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The son of Arthur and Violet (Carswell) Walker , Sr. was born in Dublin, Georgia on October 23, 1948.

Arthur spent most of his life in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  He was employed with different Distribution Trucking companies throughout the years.  He was a member of The Spiritual Israel Church and  Its Army.

He loved all kinds of sports, especially football.  He enjoyed working and riding cars.  Arthur had a great passion towards cooking– which means on the grill.   Many knew him as Big 6 especially his close friends, this was due to him standing 6 foot four inches tall and weighing 280 lbs. with a size 15 shoe.

He was a man of few words, but once spoken, you would be able to hear him.  He was a man with a big heart, but didn’t play too many games unless it was cards or dice.  Arthur never was one to keep up with the Jones, always stayed in his own lane.

He will be truly missed by many but fond memories will live on through his precious daughters, Y’Londa Walker, Valeisha Walker and Centrella Curry; and a son, Wesley Walker;  11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren;  other relatives and loving friends.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents and special friend, Maggie Allen.
