Betty Mae Sewell

was born on March 27, 1949 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Frank and Gladys (Whitley) Sewell. 

Betty had accepted Christ early in life while living  in Alabama. She was full of life and laughter and enjoyed spending time with her family.  Betty especially loved her grandchildren and doing things for others.  She opened her home to many.  She enjoyed playing Bingo, doing crossword puzzles, listening to the Blues music and just having a good old time with all.

Betty departed this life on Friday, July, 12, 2019 at Canterbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center but her memories will be forever remained with her children, Rosalind Sewell, Stephanie Sewell, Dejasha Sewell, Gladys Sewell, Rufus Sewell and Kierra Harris; siblings, Francine Sewell, Michael Robinson, Sarah Ann Robinson, Kevin Craig and Preston Craig; twelve grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Maxine Sewell and a great grandson, David Sewell, Jr.
