Catherine "Kit Kat" (Scott) Easterly

Catherine "KIt Kat" Easterly was born September 4, 1956 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  She was the daughter of the late William and Rosetta Scott.

On March 3, 1973, she accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized at the Progressive Baptist Church by the late Pastor Jesse White.

In 1975, she graduated with South Side High School where was a member of the Varsity Cheerleading Team.  She later continued her education and pursued a Associate of Science degree in Accounting from Indiana University.

In 2017, she united with Grace Temple Church of God in Christ, where she remained until her unexpected passing.

Kit Kat, as she was lovingly called, enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to music, dancing and loved to cook and bake.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Rosetta Scott; siblings, Rosie Babb, Mary Francis Wilson and Emmitt Scott.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Marcia Easterly, and twin, Ebony Easterly and Erica Easterly; siblings, William J. (Donna) Scott, Hester (Lester) Powell, Lean Spain, Amaris (J.R.) Smith, Willie J. (Ernest) Lapsley, L C  (James) Scott and David Lee Scott; a step brother, Willie Roy Surry; former husband and yet still best friend, Mitchell Easterly, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews,  other loving family and friends.

Ms. Catherine will be laid to rest in Lindenwood Cemetery
