~The Life of Mother Daisy Wilson~
Daisy Wilson was born on September 2, 1924 in Hurtsboro, Alabama to Elzey and Martha Wiley. She passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019.
At a young age the family moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana. She became a member of Turner Chapel A.M.E. Church where she remained a faithful member until her health began to fail.
Mother Daisy was blessed with a long life and enjoyed life to fullest. She has traveled the world visiting California numerous times to visit her daughters. She has visited Hawaii, Paris, The Bahamas, Jamaica, Myrtle Beach, Las Vegas, Reno and Mexico. She stayed ready and kept a bag packed. In her free time, she enjoyed playing Bingo and visiting the casinos.
Mother Daisy leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Shirley Woods and Catherine Wilson; two grandsons, Roger Woods Jr. and Dalian R. Wilson; four great grandchildren, three godsons, Bo, Zack and Sam Silliman along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Lillian Harris-Watkins; two sisters, Willa Mae Foster and Dorothy Williams; a brother, Samuel Wiley and two sons-in-law, Manual Watkins and Roger Woods Sr.
