Darryl Keith “DP” Patterson was born June 21, 1949 to Lewis and Martha Patterson in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  He entered into his eternal rest at the age of 69 on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital.

Darryl graduated from Central High School in 1967 where he participated and excelled in all sports. He was an ALL STAR athlete in track and wrestling.  Darryl went on to college and earned a Bachelor of Administration in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Manchester College located in Manchester, Indiana. Upon graduating, he enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1974.

Darryl also worked for Fort Wayne Housing and DCS.  He worked alongside of Dr. John Newbauer to help create psychology programs at YSC and ACJC to help at risk youth.
