Deborah D. Turner
Deborah Darlene Turner passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones by her side on September 20, 2019. Deborah was born January 29, 1949 to Lowell C. and Gertrude A. Taylor in Muncie, Indiana being the fourth addition to the Taylor clan.
In 1963, her family moved to Fort Wayne, IN where she attended Fort Wayne Central High School and met the love of her life, John V. Turner and later married in 1967. Shortly after, John and Deborah had two children, Victor and Rebecca.
Deborah enjoyed life to the fullest and loved spending time with her family, especially watching her grandchildren’s sporting events and other activities. She also enjoyed watching judge shows, crime drama shows, and going out to eat at her favorite restaurants. Deborah was an avid bowler and was a part of the National Traveling Bowling League since 1978. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 148 Women Auxiliary. Deborah retired from Magnavox/Raytheon with over 30 years of service.
Surviving are her children, Victor T. and Rebecca D. Turner of Fort Wayne, IN; her sister, Sharon K. (Lucius) Banks; her grandchildren, Danté, Victoria, Juwan, and John “J.T.”; and three great-grandchildren.
Deborah was preceded in death by her husband, John V. Turner; her parents, Lowell C. and Gertrude A. Taylor; three brothers, Orvall D., Lowell D., and Larry E. Taylor; a sister, A. Diane Groves; and a grandson.
