Dwayne Anthony Lastrapes

Dwayne Anthony Lastrapes was born on November 18, 1960 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.  He was the son of Aaron and Ione Pruitt.  He departed this life on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at a brief stay at Premiere Health Care.

Dwayne move to Fort Wayne, Indiana after residing in Chicago, Illinois.  He had a style and personality like no other.  He enjoyed the simple things of life, playing Poker, watching westerns, casinos, listening to Earth Wind and Fire and his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his fun and loving memory include, his beloved daughters, Dajuan Lastrapes, Millicent Brunson and Trinity Lastrapes all of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren, Jace, Averee, Cameron, Jamison and Qiera; his sisters, Cynthia (Rock) Pope of Chicago, Illinois and Yvette Pruitt of Lake Charles, Louisiana; brothers, Daryl (Jackie) Pruitt of Orlando, Florida and John Lastrapes of Lake Charles; like a brother, his best friend, Greg Walker of Chicago; special friends, Lepp, Ron, Terrell, China and Qiana and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Dwayne was preceded in death by is parents and the mother of his three beautiful girls, Desiree Y. Martin.
