Ed Ayers went home to be with his heavenly Father on December 26, 2017.  Born on May 28, 1970, he was the youngest of nine siblings, we never forgot he was the baby of the family.  

He was known as the "Philosopher", he could make anything sound good and also loved to cook and known as the self proclaimed chef and comedian. 

Ed loved music, dancing, his family and friends but his greatest accomplishment was being a Dad, as he loved his kids more than life itself. 

Ed worked many years as a Direct Care Specialist at  Fort Wayne State School Developmental Center and Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana. He also worked as a security guard for numerous businesses throughout the Fort Wayne, area.

Ed was preceded in death by his father, the late Rev. Roy Lee Ayers.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, five children, Quanarius “Que” Ayers, Xavier Walker, Malik Walker, Makaya Walker and Tavon “Juice” Thomas all of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his Mother, Eliza Ayers of Fort Wayne, Indiana; five sisters, Georgia Ummil Franklin (Earle) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Queen Ayers Ethel (Arthur) of Temecula, California., Shirley Ayers, Ella Ayers and Brenda (Blondie) Ayers-Rencher (Terry) all of Fort Wayne, Indiana; three brothers, Roy Ayers Jr. (Alicia), Dennis Ayers (Lateacha) and  David Ayers (LaTrina) all of Fort Wayne, Indiana; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Pastor Isaac R. Fincher Jr. of All Because of Christ Ministries will be the Eulogist.

Ed will be laid to rest in Concordia Lutheran Gardens on Lake Avenue
