Edward D. Harris, Sr.

Edward D. Harris SR., was 59, when he passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018.  “June,” as he was known by his loved ones, was born Feb 4, 1959 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He graduated from South Side High School in 1977, and Indiana University · Bloomington in 1982. On July 6, 2018, he retired as Assistant Director of Allen County Community Corrections after 32 years of service.

Ed leaves to honor and cherish his memory: his wife, Robin Harris; children, Dr. Elicia Harris, Edward “Durane” Harris II and his significant other, Stephany Alarcón; and Elaena Harris, Esq.; grandson, Edward Durane Harris III “Trey”; parents, Doris and Eddie L. Harris; siblings, RoLonda, Gayle, Eric, and J. Michael Harris, all of Fort Wayne; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Marcia Harris; and grandparents, John Essex Howard Sr., Louise Howard, Mary Ann Martin, and Bennie Harris.
