Ernestine Hayden Obituary
Ernestine Thomas Hayden went to be with the Lord at the age of 89 on Thursday, March 29, 2018. She was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She graduated from Central High School and attended IU Extension (IPFW). Mother Hayden as she was known to many served faithfully at Dupree Memorial Church Of God In Christ (formerly Hayden Street COGIC).
For 20 years she worked at Navistar as an Executive Secretary and retired in 1989.
She leaves to remember and celebrate her life: a devoted husband of 70 years, Walter T. Hayden; 9 children, Ronald T. (Pastor Prophetess) Hayden of Highland Village, Texas, James Brett (Brenda) Hayden of Charlotte, North Carolina, Linda (Ralph) Jones, Donald T. (Eileen) Hayden, Steven D. (Kathy) Hayden, Tracey A. (Vanessa) Hayden, Michael W. Hayden, Anita R. Hayden and Janet (Pastor Bernard) Williams all of Fort Wayne, Indiana; 40 grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Mother Hayden will be laid to rest in Marion National Cemetery - Marion, Indiana
