Herman Lee Freeman Sr. was born on November 30, 1955 in Browns, Alabama. He was the son of Roosevelt Freeman Sr. and the late Mary Ella (Williams) Johnson. He departed this earthly life on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Parkview Hospital - Randallia.
He accepted Christ and baptized at an early age. In 1973, he graduated from Trinity Lutheran High School in Selma, Alabama.
Later in life he relocated to Fort Wayne, Indiana and began employment with Mechanics Laundry. He retired after 15 years of dedicated service.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his longtime loving companion, Rosella Lee of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his sons and their mother, Herman L. (Silvia) Freeman Jr. of Kannapolis, North Carolina, Derrick (Tara) Freeman of Salisbury, North Carolina and Margaret Swift; father, Roosevelt Freeman Sr. of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Herman L. Freeman III, Xavier Lee Freeman, Jeremiah Isiah Freeman, Thomas Isiah Freeman, Jamel Blake Freeman and Jalen Dewayne Freeman; a sister, Alphia (Tommy) Hughes of Brooksville, Florida; brothers, Jerome Freeman of Uniontown, Alabama, Roosevelt Freeman Jr. and Steve Freeman both of Jacksonville, Florida, Jeffrey Revell of Brooksville, Florida, Michael Revell of Dallas, Texas, Charles Owens and Larry (Michelle) Freemon both of Fort Wayne, Indiana; estranged wife, Shirley Freeman of Chattanooga, Tennessee along with a host of other relatives, extended family and friends.
In addition to his mother, Herman was also preceded in death by a brother, Daral Owens.
