Iva Eloise (Burrows) James

Iva Eloise (Burrows) James was born on February 20, 1928 in Nassau Bahamas Islands to the late Lewis and Rhoda (Heastie) Burrows. She passed from this life on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

On February 7, 1970 she was united in Holy Matrimony with David L. James, Sr.  Iva was baptized on July 6, 1975 at Union Baptist Church.  In February of 1995 she became a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church where she had served as a Trustee.

Iva was also preceded  in death by her husband, David L. James, Sr. in 1994; her sons, Silas Mason, Anthony V. Tynes, and Booster Mason, a daughter, Donita S. James, grandson, Alex Chandler; granddaughters, Kieta Lamb, Keysha Z. James and a great granddaughter, Keiara D. Sanders.

Surviving are her children, Patsy A. (Curtis) Brown, Stanford L. Mason, Roy L. James, Deborah L. Draughn, Marvin E. James, Odell Mason, Belinda C. (Dennis) Lamb, Olwen (Reginald) Miller, David L. (Marilyn) James Jr., Donna K. James, Offren E. Mason, Sandra R. James, Rickey D. James Sr., Rhoda E. (Maurice) Lyons, Denise S. (Gerry) Tyler and Earnold R. James, 55 Grandkids, 142 Great Grandkids, 24 Great Great Grandkids, 12 Great Great Great Grandkids with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Mrs.  James will be laid to rest in Highland Park Cemetery
