James Alfred Williams

James Alfred Williams, affectionately known as “J.W.” was born on September 13, 1952 to Jacob and Evelyn Williams in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  He passed from this life at the age of 66 on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at home.

James, a proud serviceman of the United States Army, was strong as an ox. As a go-getter, he could do anything that he put his mind to. In his leisure time, James enjoyed spending time with his family, drinking, fixing cars, watching western movies, and riding his bike.

James leaves to cherish his memory his son, Shannon Williams of Fort Wayne; daughters, Lamina Williams of Fort Wayne, Evelyn Williams of El Paso, Texas and Leah Joy Williams of Indianapolis, Indiana; a brother, Thomas Williams of Indianapolis; sisters, Bessie Wright and C. Joan Williams both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Kayla Logan, Ja’Lynn, Coreon, James, Kendall, and Jacobi Williams of Fort Wayne; and Dynasti Wyatt, and Lynzie Nelson of Indianapolis.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Evelyn Williams; son James J. Williams; and brothers, Robert and John Williams.
