I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

Many do not know that it was Judge Briggs who first encouraged me to get involved with the CHINs (Children in Need of Services) work with the Allen County Court, in 2003. I have fond, fond memories of working with Judge Briggs, who was always fair, but firm in his Court. He has already been missed from the Bench since his retirement, and I know he will be missed dearly by his many friends and family. My sincerest condolences.
