Larry Thomas Waddell Payne ("Larry") was born December 27, 1946 to Fannie Mae Hicklen Payne and Harrison William Payne in Carbon, West Virginia. Larry departed this life on November 29, 2019.

He dedicated his life to the Lord at a young age at Mt. Calvary Holiness Church in Carbon, West Virginia. Larry graduated from Eastbank High School in Eastbank, WV in 1966 with a football scholarship allowing him to attend Anderson College in Indiana. Larry graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Larry worked at the Dana Corporation and the Fort Wayne Community Schools system in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Larry is survived by his wife Rachel of Fort Wayne, Indiana, his ex-wife Carrie of Fort Wayne, Indiana, his daughter Erica Abdul Halim of Birmingham, Alabama, and his sons Larry, William and Mario Payne of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Larry is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
