Mae Helen (King) Hicks was born on July 7, 1948 in Brent, Alabama.  She was the daughter of  Joseph King and Jessie Mae (Billingsley) King.  On Thursday, August 17, 2017, she had a date with an angel and passed away peacefully at Parkview Hospital-Randallia, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

In 1966, she graduated from H.D. Davidson High School in Centreville, Alabama and shortly after she relocated to Fort Wayne.

In 2012, she retired from Parkview Hospital after 44 years of dedicated service and was a member of Grace United Missionary Baptist Church.

Mae was preceded in death by her father, Joseph King; son-in-law, Michael Fintak; brothers, James King and Joseph “Bud” King Jr.

Left to cherish her memory include her mother, Jessie Mae King; son, William “Bill” Hicks Jr.; daughter, Latrese Fintak; sisters, Jo Carol (Ulysses) Striverson and Wendy Ann King-(William) Minor; grandson, Ty Fintak; step-granddaughter, Shelby Fintak and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
