Marguerite (Ellis) White was born on April 29, 1919 in Gainesville, Florida to Dora and John Ellis, Sr.   On Monday, October 23, 2017, she departed this earthly life at 405 East Creighton Avenue in Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 98 years old.

She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was baptized.

Marguerite was united in holy matrimony to Clifford White Sr. in Gainesville, Florida and moved to Alcoa, Tennessee in 1945.  Through the fruit of their marital union, Clifford White Jr., Betty J. White and Angel Mae White were born.  She was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee.

After the passing of her daughters, she relocated to Fort Wayne, Indiana where she was lovingly cared for by her only son, Clifford and his family.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford White Sr.; parents, John and Dora Ellis; brothers, Pasco Ellis, John Ellis Jr., Robert Ellis, Raymond, Ellis nd Colee Ellis; sisters, Christine Williams, Francis Martin, Pauline Ellis, Florida Mae Baldwin and Annie Carter and two daughters, Betty J. White and Angel Mae White.

Marguerite leaves the following family to cherish her memory, a loving and devoted son and daughter-in-law, Associate Pastors Clifford and Carolyn White Jr.; one sister, Elizabeth Ellis; one brother, Billy (Ruth) Ellis; one grandson, Clifford Kennedy White; four granddaughters, Shadwaynn Mikki (Derek) Curry, Kedrah Niyoki (Jay) Chapman, Malikah (Marty) King and TiaAngel (James) Buchanan; eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
