Mary "Mae Lou" Conwell

Mae “Mary" Lou Conwell was born on December 20, 1946 to Will Sr. and Mattie Conwell in Centreville, Alabama.  At the age of 72, she departed this life peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Parkview Hospital Supportive Care Unit.

She received Christ at an end arly age at the Good Hope Baptist Church in Centreville, Alabama.

She moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana in February 2011 and joined Tabernacle Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Gonzalee Martin.  She was a faithful member and served on the Mothers Board.

Mary loved playing Bingo and participating in all the activities at Lutheran Life Villages where she was loved by everyone.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe Nathan Conwell; brothers, Robert and Jesse Conwell and a sister, Lula Mae Mayberry.

She leaves to cherish her memory her five children, Joann Conwell Parker of Brent, Alabama, Ludie (Twanna) Conwell of Fort Wayne, Annie (Jerry) Bell of Brent, Alabama, Mary (Leroy) Smith of Fort Wayne and Linda (Frank) Moore of Huntsville, Alabama; three brothers, Will Jr. (Velma) Conwell of Fort Wayne, Charles (Myra) Conwell of Brent, Alabama and George Conwell of Centreville, Alabama; one sister, Clara (Sammy) Miller of Hammond, Indiana, a very special caregiver, Margie Smith, who made sure she was taken care of while in the nursing facility; 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews,other relatives and friends.
