Michael DeWitt Stevenson affectionately known as “Mike” was born March 17, 1975 to Michael and Tonya Stevenson in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He entered his eternal rest at the age of, 44, on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital.
Mike graduated from Snider High School in 1993 and received his Associate's in Arts with Academic Distinction from Ball State University in 2004.
As a youth and into his young adulthood, Mike's passion was boxing. He won multiple state titles, was a Golden Glove champion, and qualified for the Junior Olympics.
Mike was employed as a construction and industrial worker.
Mike loved his family. He never missed a family gathering and would always create ways to get family and friends together.
Mike leaves to cherish in memory his partner-in-love Kierra Hood, his sons Michael (Shaquay Moore), MonTe (Jaliyah), Marqis, and Mikale Stevenson all of Fort Wayne. His father and mother Michael and Tonya Stevenson. His siblings Michelle (Malik) King, Marcus Stevenson, and Mia Stevenson (Kenneth Mullen). He also leaves his grandmother Henria McGee, grandchildren Shanya, Tyler, Kali and MonTe II, along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. He also leaves to cherish his children's mothers, Afrika Allison and Camille Stephens.
Michael was proceeded in death by grandparents DeWitt B. McGee, St. Luke Stevenson, Ethel Stevenson, and Fannie Brooks.
He will be laid to rest in Highland Park Cemetery
