Ola Mae Morris was born September 23, 1947 in Selma, Alabama to the late Jim Henry Moore and Christine Ward. On Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at the age of 70, she entered into eternal peace surrounded by family and friends.
Ola Mae gave her life to CHRIST at an early age. She later became a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Wayne, IN under the leadership of the late Rev. James Fincher, Sr. She served as a member of the Junior Ushers, the Young Matrons and 1st Vice President of Young Matrons. She was a Golden Member who had always supported her Church spiritually, emotionally and financially. Upon her departure, she was serving as Vice President of the Missionaries, under the leadership of Pastor Patrick Leonard.
Of all the jobs she worked during her lifetime, being a CNA brought her the most pleasure. She truly enjoyed helping and taking care of others. Her house was always opened to anyone in need.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving daughter, Rhonda L. Morris; beloved sons, Van (Stacey) Morris, Vincent (Sabriya) Morris, and Jovon (Wanda) Morris; "special nieces" Christine and Natasha Morris; sister, Beatrice (Willie) Ward; sister-in-law, Pamela Ward and a host of "SPECIAL" grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, god-children, church family and friends. There's so MANY, and the family doesn't want to forget ANYONE, who has been BLESSED through and by her.
Ola Mae was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Matthew G. Morris, Sr. and Frederick A. Morris; twin sister, Willie Mae Morris and three brothers, Ellis "Buddy" Ward, James "June" Morris and Minister Goldman "Gomez" Ward.
Ms. Ola Mae will be laid to rest next to her twin sister, Willie Mae in Highland Park Cemetery
