It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of
Mother Rosie Morris
"A Mother to All"
Rosie Lee (Johnson) Morris was born on May 7, 1942 in Uniontown, Alabama. She was the daughter of Frank and Estella (Lapsley) Johnson. She answered, “Yes Lord” when her name was called, on December 19, 2019 surrounded by her family.
Sister Rose, as she was fondly called, accepted Christ as her Savior and baptized at an early age. In 1972, she became a charter member of Wings of Deliverance Holiness Tabernacle - Fort Wayne. Sister Rose served in numerous capacities during her 47 years of membership. She was currently serving as the Vice President of the Usher Board after serving President for almost four decades. She also was the President of the Benevolence Fund, Vendor Coordinator for Tabernacle Fellowship Ministries and was instrumental in the formation of the Unity Service that assisted in pastor transitioning.
In her free time she enjoyed gardening, flowers, shopping cooking and nurturing everyone’s children. However her greatest joy came from being a servant of God.
She was truly “A Mother to all.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, two children, Jennifer Clark and Jason Dickson; three siblings, AC Johnson, Rebecca Moses and Delia Lowman and a niece, Arica Johnson.
