Ace Vernon Weaver Sr. was born on September 29,1952 and departed this world on October 29, 2025.  He was preceded in death by two of his children, Ruby Jane Weaver and Ace Vernon Weaver Jr.; his parents, Asa and Frances Weaver; and his sister, Sandra Chaney.  Ace is survived by two children, Luann L. Weaver and Ace V. Weaver II; two grandchildren, Adrienne V.M. Weaver and Airon A.W. Weaver; and one great-grandchild, Ran Konishi (Osaka, Japan).  

Ace Vernon Weaver Sr. grew up in Mongo, Indiana where he fished as a boy on the Pigeon River. He often missed school to go fishing. Children at school called him "part time" because, so often, he wasn't there. 

He met Delores Mae Collins at the Mushroom Farm in Brighton, Indiana.  They eventually married on December 22, 1972. On March 4, 1974 they had a daughter Luann, 2 more babies followed in the 80s, but did not survive. On July 26, 1986, they had their 4th child, Ace V. Weaver II. Ace played a guitar and wrote music most of his life.  He visited nursing homes, churches and prisons ministering with gospel songs and provided comfort through his music. 

Ace enjoyed gardening, swimming, canning, building bird houses, small repairs, fishing, mushroom hunting, and working on cars, as it saved him money. This provided for his family as well. He would also collect junk and sell it as he was able to, to make extra money. 

Ace had a huge heart and would pick up hitch hikers or homeless and give them something to eat. He would do what he could to help someone in need. He was my hero! We simply knew him as Dad and GrandDad.
