Albert Joseph Lawson Jr, 75, affectionately known as Albert Junior, was born September 28, 1948, in Birmingham, Alabama. 

He was called home on June 21, 2024, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his life partner, Carolyn Jones; his adopted son, Charles Jones; his father, Albert Joseph Sr; and mother, Bertha Lawson. 

Left to cherish his memories are his first cousin, Esther L. Sims (whom Albert was raised with like siblings, by their grandparents); her children: Lorraine Tabb, Deborah Sims, Eliza (Rance) Jones, and Tara Sims (they all called him Uncle Lawson); and a whole host of cousins and great cousins.
