She departed this earthly life on Saturday, September 18, 2021. She accepted Christ at an early age at Macedonia Baptist Church in McNeal, Arkansas. She graduated from McNeil High School in Magnolia, Arkansas.

After graduation she moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she met and married the love of her life, Robert Lee Jordan. From this union, they raised six children: Willie (Gloria) Bunch, of Fort Wayne, Carolyn (Marcus) Stewart, of San Antonio, Texas, Larry (Lesia) Jordan, Donald Jordan, Lawanda (Wilbur) Vandall, all of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Lorrenda Jordan, of Malvern, Arkansas, honorary daughters, Stephanie (James) Berry, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Tina (James) Hamilton-Brown, of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Alberta worked in the medical field for over 35 years before retiring from Lutheran Hospital. She continued caring for others as a home health-aid and then went on to work as a school crossing guard for Fort Wayne Community Schools.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. She was a devoted servant of Christ and instilled a strong Christian foundation in her family.

Alberta chose Greater Progressive Baptist Church, in the early 60s, under the leadership of Rev. Jesse White. She remained a longtime faithful servant; until her health deteriorated.

Her legacy of many memories will continue through her 4 children, 18 grandchildren, her sister-in-law, Missionary Margie Russ, a host of great grandchildren, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, James Russ, oldest daughter, Carolyn Stewart, and youngest son, Donald Jordan.
