Almedia L. Alexander was born April 3, 1923 in Nashville, Tennessee. At the blessed age of 99, she answered the call when her name was called on July 15, 2022 at Lutheran Life Villages.
She was a longtime devoted member of Turner Chapel AME Church where she served faithfully.
She retired from the Fort Wayne State Developmental Center after many years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Bloodworth and Mamie Maxwell; husband of 68 years, George Alexander in 2019; niece, Pamela J. Elliott; a brother, James Hill and two sisters, Kresser Elliott and Mary Rogan.
Almedia leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews, Yvette Hill, Yvonne McGowan and Rebecca Rogan all of Nashville, Tennessee, Laura Hayward of Savanah, Georgia, Theron Franklin of Kingford Heights, Indiana, Thomas G. (Jane) Elliott Jr., Clarence Elliott and Ronald (Katrina) Elliott all of Fort Wayne; her Turner Chapel family and numerous friends and extended family.
