Almetha Wimes was born on January 27, 1955.

She was previously employed by Lincoln National Life Insurance Company and Essex Wire. During the past 15 years she took joy in caring for others as CNA.
 

Almetha was preceded in death by her parents, John Boddie and Lydia Battle and a brother, Alfred Boddie.

Surviving are her husband, Jerome Wimes; three children, Jermone (Staci) Wimes Jr., Takisha Wimes-Selmon and Anasha Wimes; seven siblings, Karl Battle, Delores Boddie, Vernita Humphrey, Wendy Boddie-(Walker) Miller, Wendell Boddie, John Boddie, and Sam Vernon Jr., 11 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
