Barbara K. Howell, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, at PRMC in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on August 15, 1957, Barbara lived a life defined by compassion, strength, and joy.

She devoted herself to caring for others as a nursing aide, radiating kindness and generosity in all she did. Known for her love of cooking, laughter, and dancing, Barbara had a spirit that lifted others and a heart that embraced everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Ray Edwards; her parents, Willie and Nerissa O'Kelley; and her brothers, Alonzo and James O'Kelley. She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Rosalyn Pankey; her son, Khari Howell, and daughter-in-law, Anna Howell; her grandchildren, Latijera Gaines and Jasiah Howell; and several nieces and nephews who brought her great joy and affection throughout her life.

Barbara's legacy is one of unwavering love, light-hearted joy, and heartfelt service. She leaves behind cherished memories and the unbreakable bond of family.
