Bernice Hill

A Loving Mother, Sister, Grandmother,

Aunt, Cousin and Friend

was 84 years of age when she went to Heaven on February 23, 2020 with family near. She was a native of Starkville, Mississippi born to Rev. Walter and Alberta (Lindsey) Boyd.  She retired from General Electric in 1993.  Bernice loved shopping and spending time with her family.  She was also a member of Light of the World Christian Church.

Her legacy continues with her children, Rev. Cornelius (Lana) Hill, Monica, Hill, Ladonna Hill-Smiley, Jeffery Hill, Dora (Brandon Carter) Hill and Anitra Hill; her sisters, Henria McGee and Yvonne Harris; her brothers, William Boyd and Tom (Donna) Boyd; a special friend, John Adams; 14 grandchildren, Johnny, Chari, Chanel, Latisha, Byron, Ashley, Dominque, Andria, Brandon, Jeffrey Jr., Koren, Brittany, Kayla and Camren;  27 great-grandchildren; longtime friends, Aljean Tubbs, Charolette Wims, Bernice Turner Atline Carswell, Ola Irby and host of other family and friends.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Walter and Alberta Boyd, siblings, Linnie Torrence, Doris Copeland, Maggie T Boyd, Ernestine West, Erma Carswell, Walter Boyd Jr., Alexander Boyd, John Eddie Boyd and James Boyd.
