Carolyn Kimbrough, age 85, passed away on Sunday, January 30th, 2022 at approximately 6:25pm @ Parkview Regional Medical Center.
She was born on July 3rd, 1936 in Fort Wayne, IN to Benny & Gladys Lowe. She was the youngest of four children. She graduated from Central High School in Fort Wayne, IN in 1954. Carolyn was a life long member of Turner Chapel AME Church. She worked at Lutheran Hosipital and later on as a Social Worker for Martin Luther King Monitessori School. She was also a caregiver for her parents in their later years.
She was an excellent cook and some of her specialities were bullet bread, collard greens, lasagna, jambalaya, and pig feet (but they had to be pretty)!
She enjoyed traveling, bringing people together, making people feel welcomed, and basketball. Carolyn was loved by all. She never met a stranger. Not only was she beautiful on the outside, but her beauty was truly from within.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father Benny Lowe, mother Gladys Lowe, and brother Calvin Lowe. She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons Eric Scott McCarrol (Charita Jo Singleton) and Tony Lance McCarrol (Terra Brantley), daughter Tiffani Lynn Kimbrough and four grandchildren Dion Kimbrough, Scott McCarrol, Eric McCarrol, and Tony McCarrol.
She was married to Ed McCarrol (deceased) and Thomas (TK) Kimbrough. She also leaves behind two older sisters Dorothy (Lowe) Newman, Betty (Lowe) Pickett, and one uncle Ivey Lowe and a host of other friends and family members too numerous to mention.
