Christina Mauricio-Reed

Christina Mauricio Reed was born August 19,1953 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Christina transitioned home to the Lord on January 13, 2022. 

Christina was a 1972 graduate of Northrop High School. She was also a former employee of Rea Magnet Wire, Allen County Voter Registration and Dr. Elton Amos MD’s office. 

Christina was known by many, they called her Dee Dee, Christine, Chris, Mom, and Grandma. She was indeed the life of the party in many family functions, community events, and gatherings among friends. 

Christina life was always caring for others, especially her husband Jessie and her nephew Kent. She would look forward to her weekly visit to the salon getting her hair doll up by her granddaughter Victoria. Christina daily conversations with her closest friends and family will be missed. 

Christina had a generous heart and loved her family dearly, she was always lending a hand to help someone, if she didn’t have it, she would point you in the right direction. Many would say Christina had no problem speaking her peace, and no fear in telling you like it is. Her memories will live forever in the heart of those who knew her. 

Christina was a true, die hard Alabama fan, along with her husband Jessie. Her last Facebook post was “THAT’S HOW WE ROLL”, Ala! Although she hated the long drives she loved going to Alabama to visit with her in-laws. She promised the next time she traveled she was going by plane. 

Christina was preceded in death her Father, Leonardo G. Mauricio, Mother Mary Mauricio, Grandmother Felipa Ramos, Grandfather Paul Ramos, Sister Mary Mauricio-Morris and Granddaughter Jazmyn Shyla Jade Thomas.

Christina leaves  to cherish her memories, Husband Jessie Reed, Son Joseph L, Pollard (Tomorrow), Daughter Latisha Martin, Nephew Kent Richardson, Five Brothers Carlos L Mauricio, Robert Mauricio, Dan Mauricio (Brenda), Adam Mauricio, Steven Mauricio and Sister JoAnn Mauricio; Grandchildren Shaunese Minor, Victoria Pollard, Jonathon Pollard, Taylor Rain Pollard, Alexis Khrystina Pollard, Joseph M. Pollard, Jazmine Adediran(Adewale), Kiara Kelly & Khadijah Williams (Dustin) and eight great grandchildren. 

A Walk-through viewing will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday January  27, 2022, at Ellis Funeral Home 1021 E. Lewis St. Fort Wayne, IN 46803

Homegoing Celebration will be held from 12-1:30 pm on Friday, January 28, 2022 with viewing from 11-12 at The Pointe Church 5335 Bass Road Fort Wayne, IN 46804
