September 8, 2001 – June 6, 2026

DaQuon Sincere Reed, affectionately known to all who loved him as "Quon," was called home to the arms of the Lord on June 6, 2026, at the age of 24.

Quon’s foundation of faith began early. He was baptized at Jerusalem Baptist Church, where he accepted Christ into his life at a young age, carrying that faith and the knowledge that he could always turn to God through any of life's challenges. 

A 2020 graduate of Southside High School, Quon was a natural athlete with a deep passion for sports. His journey began at just six years old with the Raiders Metro Youth Sports League. He hit so hard on the football field that league officials famously requested his birth certificate just to prove his age. His athletic journey continued through high school, where he played both basketball and football for Northside and Southside. 

Quon was a young man of drive and ambition. An entrepreneur at heart, he also worked at Amazon and was currently pursuing his certification in HVAC and Refrigeration at Ivy Tech. His creativity knew no bounds; he was an artist who loved to draw and had a deep passion for fashion. Quon was actively planning to launch his own clothing line. His love for style was lifelong—as a young boy, he would change his outfit at least six times before making a final decision, a meticulous routine that followed him straight into adulthood.

To know Quon was to know pure joy. He loved spending time with his family and friends, bringing warmth into every room he entered. He possessed the most beautiful, mood-brightening smile and an infectious laugh that shook his entire body. Quon lived out loud. He could be heard two stories up while playing NCAA on the PS5 with his friends-especially if he was losing. He never held onto anger, choosing instead to live by his personal motto: always look forward.

He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory his loving parents, Sedrick Reed Sr. and Tamika Spearman; his grandmother Queen (Alfred) Dubose; grandfather Reginald (Rhonda) Spearman, his siblings, Semiya Reed, Sedrick Reed Jr., Ziariah (J’Cob) Wright, Sunique Reed, Zakavia Reed, Zyasha Reed, Rashawn Boone Jr., Camayah Boone, Jyahyrah Boone Jade Wilson, Javyn Thomas, Mauriana Paige,and Caitlyn Campbell; his aunts and uncles, Sonya (Calvin) Dubose, Michelle Haywood, Luon (Jessica) Spearman, Danielle (Tyree) Davis, Kelsey Spearman, Colena Littlejohn, Darrell Littlejohn, Tyrone Littlejohn, Kelron (Tonya) Mixon, Curtis (Lareka) Bynum, Beverly Littlejohn and Arnette Poplar; niece Ja’Coria Wright, nephew Karson Spearman, his special cousins, Terry Giddens III, Tieranie Giddens; his best friend Jaemon Wilson, along with a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, teammates, and friends who will miss his bright light daily.

 
DaQuon was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joann Littlejohn; his grandfathers, Donald Littlejohn Sr and Larry Blackmon; his uncles, Terry Reed; Donald Littlejohn Jr, Ronald Martin, Aunt Roxanne Armsgtrong, and one of his best friends, Marlon Chapman. A host of great uncles and great aunts with a special acknowledgement to his great Aunt Betty M Reese.
