Dana Da'Von Underwood

Dana D. Underwood was 43 years old when she passed from this life on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at home with family near.  She was born on November 30, 1975 in Long Beach, California to Deborah Underwood and Calvin Flenory.  

In 1977 she and her family moved to Detroit, Michigan when she was 2 years old.  Dana attended St. Teresa Catholic Elementary, Brooks Middle School and Northwestern and Cody High School.  In 2000 the family later moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Dana’s life seemed too short for some, but for others who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeded the quantity of time in which she lived.  Her gentle smile and laughter will be sorely missed but it brought so much joy to her friends and family.

Dana was a working woman with an open heart who gave help to anyone who needed it, “what was hers was yours.”  Dana loved her family!

Dana leaves to cherish his memory, her loving mother, Deborah Underwood, her father, Calvin Flenory; daughters, Kendall, Keyanna and Kemora Underwood; a son, Sean “TJ” Hamilton, Jr.; a brother, Chad Underwood and sister-in-law, Donjria Scott; niece, Loyreal Underwood; nephew, Nile Underwood and companion, Jimmie Cearo and a host of relatives and friends that have been touched by her in their lives.

Dana was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jessie and Grace Zellars, Henry and Pearlene Flenory; stepfather, Willard Robinson and an aunt Delores Wright.
