Cherishing Darrell's memory are his son, Darrell P.J. (Nichole) Burton of Fort Wayne, IN; his daughter, Tinita (Anthony) McGee of Fort Wayne, IN; and his sister, Carolyne (Rev. Leon) Penick of Louisville, KY.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Ann Franklin & Ezekiel West and Barbara Jean & Joe Franklin; the mother of his children, Charita “ Dusty” Burton; his sisters, Michelle (Groves) Hopson and Sharon Anne (Puchi) Mitchell;  and his granddaughter, Tiniqua McGee.
